Well done to all those that braved the elements and got their spikes or studs on to race at Blaise Castle, Bristol, this weekend in the 2nd of the season’s Gwent League matches. 48 RUNNERS IN TOTAL – which is some effort!
Adrian Bridge, who turned up and was prepared to run for the team at the last moment, has propelled us clear of our rivals so that we are now a clear top in Division One in the men’s League. Adrian finished 203rd. This made the difference!
Some good support too from parents who ought to be very proud with how their youngsters coped with the mud. We’ll seriously need to consider getting a bigger tent!
In time all of the full results will appear on the Gwent league website – even after their 40+ years of organising this League I am astounded at how quick & efficient they are and we ought to thank them, and the host clubs for all that they do. http://www.gwent-league.org.uk/
