Many folk use the Street 5k road race as a monthly time trial to see if they can get fitter and quicker! In the past two seasons we have incentivised people to get quicker by awarding abottle of Bullbeggar Cider or Lamyatt Apple Juice if they improve on their 5k time from month to month.
Junior races: 1k recommended for school years 5 & 6; 2k recommended for school years 7 & 8.
Minimum age for 5k is age 11 but we would encourage talented 11 and 12 years olds instead to try to break the 2k course records
The Series is known as the Clive & Angela Thomas Series as they were the initiators of the Series back in 1989 as a monthly time trial to encourage local runners of all abilities to get fitter and quicker!
