Many folk use the Street 5k road race as a monthly time trial to see if they can get fitter and quicker! In the past two seasons we have incentivised people to get quicker by awarding abottle of Bullbeggar Cider or Lamyatt Apple Juice if they improve on their 5k time from month to month.

Enter the 2020/21 Series in advance at runbritain.com when the portal opens in September for the special price of 6 races for the price of 4, available until a week before the first race - with a further discounted entry fee for those who are England Athletics members.
Paper entry form available from the Race Director and on the night. Enter the Series on the first race night and get 6 races for the price of 5. Or enter each individual race on the night only for £5 (EA members) or £7 (nonEA members). (2020/21 entry fees to be confirmed)
This is a friendly event and because it is a lapped course, it can help you with pace judgement with crowd support every lap as you come past the timing clock.
Awards to any that improve during the course of the Series! Series awards based on best 5 races. Memento to all that complete 5 races. Prizes on the night at 8.15pm for junior and 5k races.
Please contact Race Director Lynne Elstob (on 01749 344545 or 07411 199944) if you need more information.

Junior races: 1k recommended for school years 5 & 6; 2k recommended for school years 7 & 8.

Minimum age for 5k is age 11 but we would encourage talented 11 and 12 years olds instead to try to break the 2k course records

The Series is known as the Clive & Angela Thomas Series as they were the initiators of the Series back in 1989 as a monthly time trial to encourage local runners of all abilities to get fitter and quicker!
