These training sessions have been held by the Club for over 30 years, and for the last 20 years or so have gone from Wells Rugby Club. Meet up at 6.40pm outside if dry, or inside if cold and wet. Different paced groups will cover different distances with most spring/summer runs offering either a road or off-road circuit.Lynne Elstob & Andy Piper are the Club's Wednesday reps but other well-versed Harriers will welcome you if they are not there.
Usual training numbers vary between 20-40 according to season and weather. Usual age range 15-71 . In spring/summer a good number of Wednesday runners also race at the monthly Yeovilton 5k races on the 2nd Wednesday of the month; in autumn/winter they might race at the Club's Street 5k races (see calendar for details) and there are also occasional pub runs from different locations. See calendar for details as and when they pop up. 3rd Wednesday of the month over autumn/winter there is normally a nice little hill reps session led by Richard Morgan and others which has a good review: "Bloomin 'orrible!" and because everyone does it together then everyone survives!
Park in Rugby Club car-park. Some changing/shower facilties available subject to Rugby Club availability. Stay afterwards for a drink in the Wells Rugby Club bar. Plan training for the weekend or plan the next race with fellow Harriers. (photo July 2016 by Lynne)
