Brilliant fell race for a Wednesday evening in summer.
One of the classics for the local fell runners amongst us . 3miles with 656 feet of ascent.
Register outside (or inside if wet) the Pub at Cross, near Axbridge and make your way along the road (jogging) to the foot of Crook Peak. Allow 15 minutes from registration.
The start is straight up - classic false horizon running - lung bursting ascent with heavy legs by the top; and then launch yourself off the top and down towards the valley and then two more climbs to carry on round to the hillside above the pub for the final mad descent.
