As usual, the late May Bank Holiday in Wells saw a whole host of excellent running performances by athletes of all ages taking part in the Wells Fun Runs. With this year seeing 5 separate races, the race organisers were pleased with the turn out of runners from near and far. Chip timing was used for the 4 longer races and the times are now available. Prizes were awarded in the junior race (for under 8s) by the Rt Revd Peter Hancock, the Bishop of Bath & Wells; with prizes awarded in the other races by John & Gail North the Mayor & Lady Mayor of Wells.
The Race organisers thank all the volunteer helpers, many of whom are current or former Wells City Harrier members; and the Club would once again like to particularly thank Race Director Andrew Deamer, and Lynne Elstob and Sharon Bowles, who have put in so much time to make sure the races have gone off smoothly.
